I was told by a teacher that they had to pick another day off and they thought the teacher's might like to have it the day after the Superbowl. I'm not sure what they offically called the day, but sure enough, they were out of school. What is also amusing is that I got out of school for Pulaski Day at least 13 times in my life and until I read this article didn't know who Casimir was (although I was a big fan of us and the three day weekend he gave us).
